Amazon.com Translating Rowan Atkinson's Mr. Bean character from British television to the big screen takes a bit of a toll, but there are some hilarious sequences in this popular comedy. Bean, a boy-man twit with a knack for getting into difficult binds (and then making them worse and worse and worse), is a London museum guard who is sent to Los Angeles in the company of the famous painting IWhistler's Mother/I. He's mistaken as an art expert by the well-meaning curator (Peter MacNicol) of an L.A. museum, but Bean's famously eccentric behavior soon causes the poor guy to almost lose his family and job. The insularity of Bean's TV world is sacrificed in this film, and that change diminishes some of the character's appeal. But Atkinson is a man naturally full of comedy, and he doesn't let his fans down. I--Tom Keogh/I

You'll ache from laughing September 6, 2008 Sara Vincent (Utah) This is a fantastic movie for when you want to relax and laugh. Mr. Bean is so predictable and outrageous, but it usually turns out right for him. He's truly a gifted actor to be able to portray a feeling without using words (or few words). The story line is predictable but has twists to it that keep you guessing. Mr. Bean is a great movie, and it would take a real stick-in-the-mud person to not enjoy laughing with Mr. Bean.
Happiness March 29, 2008 Louise Odom I am never disappointed when I watch Mr. Bean. He makes me laugh and makes me happy.

Funny movie September 28, 2007 W. Morgenstern (Farmington Hills, MI United States) This is a funny movie. Still like the newest one (Mr Bean on Holiday) better than this one.
