Sometimes it takes a Scooby scramble to satisfy an entire family, and in the peace-to-all holiday spirit, that's what's on offer here. Winter WonderDog spans the Scooby generations. We scroll through a splattering of Scrappy, where the hotheaded little hound hooks up with Scoob and Shag for a few fits of mystery-free bad-guy nabbing, but the classic Mystery Machine players also pull up for several episodes. In "That's Snow Ghost" they meddle at a spooky ski lodge where a mechanical abominable snowman look-alike's on the loose, and "The Nutcracker Scoob's" lineup links the entire groovy gang minus Velma for an investigation into the ghost of Christmas present, who's spooking an orphanage. It's the snowcapped, red-and-green Scooby-snack wrapped, all-era caper-scraper that'll see Scooby fans of all stripes circling the tube. The sort of spirits it ushers in may not be standard issue, but the jinkies-generating snooping and sleuthing are. --Tammy La Gorce

5 out of 5 stars Scooby Doo Winter Wonder Dog A REAL Review!!!   November 3, 2008

I first want to say that I don't know why other reviews for other Scooby Doo DVD's on the listing for this one; but this is a review for Scooby Doo Winter Wonder Dog!!!

I think this is one of the better DVD collection of Scooby Doo for the simple reason that it spans some of the great Scooby Doo episodes that HB or WB (Hanna Barbara or Warner Bros, don't know who is releasing them off top of my head) have yet to release in a season collection. As an avid Scooby Doo fan who would love to have the entire collection up to What's New Scooby Doo? We just are not getting anywhere with a re-release of the first three seasons in volumes.
Anyway, back to this DVD:

Episodes:
The NutCracker Scoob: the only episode from The New Scooby Doo Show on DVD thus far. The fun filled Christmas episode, truly one of a kind. Also on VHS.
Alaskan King Coward: Yet to be a release in the Scooby Doo/Richie Rich series, but yes a trio episode, only 15 mins long. Couldn't they compile at least one more along with this one?
A Scary Night With A Snow Beast Fright: A good episode from the Scooby Doo/Dynomutt hour.
That's Snow Ghost: Classic episode but released like a million times already.

It's a really good collection but I also feel there could be more. If I'm not mistaken, wasn't there an episode from the 13 Ghosts of Scooby Doo that was wintered themed like these? Bottom Line: A great collection for the family that will also get you in the Christmas mood!!!

Finally: A shout out for the continuation of the Scooby Doo series to be released on DVD, but the other series!!!

I ordered a video from this vendor. When it came, it was the wrong video in the right jacket. When I contacted them to find out if they had the correct video, I got some unintelligent reply. They haven't answered my second email trying to clarify my order and it's been over three weeks now. DON'T BUY FROM HERE !!!!! TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE !!!!!!!

5 out of 5 stars GREAT FOR HALLOWEEN   April 29, 2007

There are many Scooby-Doo dvds you can buy but overall this one had the best mix of episodes if you were not going to buy the more expensive seasons that are out now. These is a great dvd for Halloween as it has some of the "spookiest tales" done for Scooby-Doo. "Vampires,Bats, And Scaredy Cats" is really good and features great Shaggy One Liners like when he see's the vampire and says "Look, it's gramps the vamp" and "I already gave at the bloodbank." You also have "Witch Witch Is Which" with it's Zombie and Witch characters with an old boat and swamp for a more scary effect.
"A Gaggle Of Galloping Ghosts" is on here as well as "That's Snow Ghost." These are good but I would probably have put another on here besides "That's Snow Ghost" as it fit's better on the dvd "Winter Wonderdog." But the main reason to get this dvd is for the episode "Headless Horseman Of Halloween." This has everything from a costume Hallowen party,Graveyard,a butler and of course, many one-liners from Shaggy.
Overall this is the best value for a great mix of episodes. The "Headless Horseman Of Halloween" is only on the dvd and not the VHS version be sure to get the dvd for this bonus.

4 out of 5 stars Just Right (Didn't Want the Whole Series Box Set)   June 19, 2006

I wanted a few episodes to pop into the dvd player once in a while (nostalgic trip down Saturday morning lane), and I didn't feel the need to buy an entire season box set of this show. A little goes a long way.
This is perfect because it features just a few shows for a quick Scooby fix.

1 out of 5 stars stick to the complete season release   March 28, 2006

while this is a ok release, even my kids agree that the ones with scrapy doo are just no good. it was the introduction of scarpy doo that spelled the end of saturday morning cartoons. why this hated little dog was added to the show i'll never know, but it says something that the live action movie used this little runt as the bad guy. no one i have ever met likes scrapy and my boys will not watch any of the movies or shows with him in it. as for the other shows on the disc you can find them on the complete 1st and 2nd season releaseand the othe one from the new scooby doo show in the late 70's may be on the scooby doo dinomutt show release. scrapy is just the worst cartoon ever created and almost did what no one has been able to do, kill off scooby dooand it's worth noteing that the new what's new scooby doo does not have scrapy(we used to call him crapy when i was growing up) in it!!!!!!!!
