Amazon.com If anyone belongs in the "Whatever Happened To?" category of a game show, it's Phil Collins. Back in the 1980s, Collins was everywhere, having retinkered Genesis into a smooth, hit-making machine and embarking on a solo career that redefined adult contemporary music. He's still been busy, but nowhere near the spotlight. His latest project has been writing five songs for Disney's animated Tarzan. "You' ll Be in My Heart"--presented here in two versions, one with actress Glenn Close--is exactly the sort of ersatz orchestrated power ballad you expect from this sentimental guy. A duet with 'N Sync in "Trashin' the Camp" (also issued in two versions) is Phil's concession to the kids. Producer Mark Mancina's instrumental score mixes the expectant ambient sounds of the jungle with the slowly unfolding sounds of daybreak and jungle rhythms (provided by Collins on drums) that denote inevitable conflict. --Rob O'Connor

Not Disney's Best Work June 22, 2008 I typical enjoy the songs that come from Disney Films. Each track I can listen too, but this one isn't the same. It lacks suspense, and wonderment. Even Rosie on "Trashin The Camp" track four and *NSYNC track 7 can't make it somewhat better. IT IS NOT THEIR FAULT THE LYRICS ARE BAD.
Nice January 15, 2008 Phil Collins always does and amazing job and in this one the instrumentals along with vocal play is awesome. It makes you wanna dance and celebrate the natural part of life, the earth and us.
Music with Class! August 9, 2007 Phil Collins out does himself once again in this classic tale of Tarzan! The music follows the movie and moves you in ways you never imagined. Listen to the music and relive the movie all over in the Soundtrack. I recommend this to anyone who is a Fan of both the Tarzon movie, and Phil Collins!
Tarzan: The Soundtrack July 17, 2007 I bought this cd for my mom and she loves it! The music is great. Every time I go over to visit she has it on. Thanks!
Out of the mouths of babes.... May 7, 2007 For my granddaughters 3rd birthday in march of this year, I bought her this Tarzan soundtrack. She loved the movie and would let the credits run, just to hear the music. I'm proud to say she knows all the songs and sings along. She loves the Tarzan soundtrack, it is the only cd that is played in my daughters car.
