| Editorial Reviews:
Amazon.com On Pocketful of Sunshine, Natasha Bedingfield sounds like Joss Stone only bouncier. Nothing wrong with that. In fact, the brightness and buoyancy of this record will keep it spinning long after CDs that shoot for hipster credibility--with funked-up bells and fancy production whistles--have been deposited back into their jewel cases for all eternity. Check it out: "Love Like This," with Sean Kingston, puts its hands in the air for puppy love--the kind that'll bring you back to your "middle school kiss"--and a couple of other songs follow the youth-themed suit. "Backyard" time-travels to an idyllic childhood, while "Freckles" fleshes out, for the benefit of the insecure, the beauty in imperfections. Elsewhere, Bedingfield is her indomitably upbeat self. Opener "Put Your Arms Around Me" reeks of reassurance and tenderness. "Happy" implores would-be gloom-and-doomers to snap out of it, and while the title track doesn't wander all that far lyrically, it benefits from a chanted verse brimmed in (positive) attitude. The vibe, overall, is beach-blanket warm and blue-sky ready. Sunshine earns a pocketful, if not more, of pop-music props. --Tammy La Gorce

Pleasantly surprised........ October 10, 2008 ktm200 (NC USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
The majority of my musical CD's/mp3's are hard rock (AC/DC,Earshot, Disturbed, etc.), classic rock, Progressive Rock (Dream Theater),top 40 country, or basically anything with a good beat. My 3 year old daughter and I kept hearing pocket full of sunshine on the radio and she would energetically hum and start dancing around every time this song came on. Now she knows most of the chorus. I decided to buy it for this very reason and once my wife and I gave it a total listen we were pretty impressed with it. #2 "Pocket full of Sunshine" is the most popular (so far) and with good reason. You can listen to this song any where and it fits. #5 "Piece of your Heart" is as good as the title track. What a groove from these 2 songs!!! #6 "Soulmate" is a very creative song written about a very familiar topic and question that we have all asked ourselves at some point in time. #3 "Happy" is a cross of the Carribean with some old school soul thrown in. What a pleasant surprise this little find has been. Very good all around CD to have!
Love it! September 13, 2008 Jimmy Q. 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I love this CD! Upbeat, positive, all around "feel-good" dance music. Lots of great tunes...my favs being Pocketful of Sunshine and Freckles.
another great album September 11, 2008 Lisa (Frederick, MD United States) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
What I really like about Natasha Bedingfield's music is that it has such a great variety. Half sounds like music I listen to all the time and the other half doesn't, but she writes it so well, I don't bother to skip. It's a great 2nd album to put on and listen all the way through.
Move over mariah, Natasha has you beat. September 10, 2008 Coolreem (Salisbury, NC United States) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Aren't you tired of the same ol, same ol? Natasha is awesome! The production is tight. I can listen to the whole CD without skipping one track. This is a must buy.
You go girl! September 6, 2008 mommy (jacksonville fl) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This album is awesome! I love to listen to her songs! Of course the title track, "Put Your Arms Around Me", "Happy", and "Freckles" are my faves. If you're looking for carefree, feel good music, this is a must have.
