Product Description Agent 007 is hurled into an explosive pulse-pounding race to save the world from nuclear terrorist. Studio: Tcfhe/mgm Release Date: 05/22/2007 Starring: Sean Connery Max Von Sydow Run time: 133 minutes Rating: Pg Director: Irvin Kershner
Amazon.com After years of enduring Roger Moore in the role of James Bond, it was good to have Sean Connery back in this 1983 film for a one-time-only trip down 007's memory lane. Connery's Bond, a bit of a dinosaur in the British secret service at (then) 52, is still in demand during times of crisis. Sadly, the film is not very good. In this rehash of IThunderball/i, Bond is pitted against a worthy underwater villain (Klaus Maria Brandauer); and while the requisite Bond Girls include beauties Kim Basinger and Barbara Carrera, they can't save the movie. The script has several truly dumb passages, among them a (gasp) video-game duel between 007 and his nemesis that now looks utterly anachronistic. For Connery fans, however, this widescreen print of the Irvin Kershner (IThe Empire Strikes Back/i) film is a chance to say a final goodbye to a perfect marriage of actor and character. I--Tom Keogh/I

Never Say Never Again Awesome January 6, 2009 S. A. Ball (Albany, OH) Although this James Bond film doesn't get the credit of being one, this is an awesome 007 movie! Sean Connery and his costars Kim Basinger and Barbara Carrera are stunning as usual. Great film. Sure to be a pleaser if you have not yet seen it.
Disappointing December 29, 2008 Scott Keith (Hopkinton, NH USA) I am normally a fan of James Bond movies but "Never Say Never Again" is terrible. While it is apparently supposed to be a remake of Thunderball, it ends up being something less than a cheap copy. In fact, they reused character names and applied a new plot which does not make sense. Very poor script. My recommendation is to keep this movie out of your bond DVD library.
Never say never again December 24, 2008 Jerry Shoemaker (Dayton, OH USA) Though the movie was a spinoff of Thunderball, it was a fun adventurous story and it was nice to see Sean Connery back as Bond. Very good cast as well. I rate it higher than Thunderball.
3 stars out of 4 December 18, 2008 One-Line Film Reviews (Ann Arbor) The Bottom Line: br / br /A little on the long side, with a lead actor who's a little long in the tooth, Never Say Never Again nevertheless succeeds due to a winning sense of humor and several standout scenes; put it this way, it's at least better than Octopussy.
Never Say Never Again (James Bond) December 12, 2008 Erin M. Delleree (Lansing, MI) This is the 'unofficial' Bond and it's not included in the big box set, so that is why I purchased it so I could have them all. br / br /I got it for a good price and also it came in about a week. Came in good condition as if I bought it from a regular store. No complaints.
