Description Father Ted Crilly is surrounded by a cast of characters in his work on Craggy Island, Ireland. The town fool, the town drunk - all of the familiar characters are in his congregation. And it's up to Father Ted to make sure everyone gets along.

Starts out brilliant but.... December 28, 2003 Dennis Mabrey (Whitehouse Station, NJ USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I love Father Ted and have the complete DVD set. However...this particular episode has a split personality... The first half of the show makes you believe that this is the best Father Ted ever... It is brilliant and just the first half alone is probably worth watching.... but the last half was incredibly poor. It just becomes dull... which I have never seen any other Father Ted episode do.
Hilarious September 4, 2003 isbef (Seattle, USA) Ignore the other reviews, this is British comedy at its finest.
Not up to snuff December 14, 2002 7 out of 7 found this review helpful
As a fan of the hilarious "Father Ted" series, I had high hopes for the Christmas show. Unfortunately, the writing was just not as inspired as in other episodes, and more often than not, the jokes fell flat. Overall, it was surprisingly disappointing, with the one bright spot being an early scene with Ted, Dougal, and Jack visiting a department store to do some holiday shopping. Looking forward to the Complete Series 3 DVD being released in March (and on which this episode is included)...
