I Love You July 31, 2008 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
Excellent performance by Hillary Swank and cast.I originally saw this movie in the theatre and loved it so much that I ordered on Amazon. There aren't too many movies that can bring a tear to your eye and make you fall in love with all of the character's. I also recommend the book I LOVE YOU.. I Love You. Now What?: Falling in Love is a Mystery, Keeping It Isn't it is my favorite book about relationships and love.
Nothing like book July 31, 2008 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I held off on watching this movie until I had read the book. I wish I hadn't. It was very loosely based on the book. Had the movie been more like the book, it would have been fantastic.
Loved it! July 29, 2008 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
What a great movie! Just a fun, charming, chick-flick love story! I cried my way through most of it. I kept putting my husband in the place of Jerry, and my heart broke right along with Holly's! Just a very enjoyable movie to watch with the girls-if you aren't too embarrassed to cry in front of them! (because trust me...you will!). A great escape with great actors and some beautiful Irish scenery. P.S. I loved it!
CUTE July 28, 2008 CUTE MOVIE BUT A LITTLE DRAWN OUT WITH THE SAD THEME. WOULD HAVE LIKED TO SEE MORE OF GERARD BUTLER AND LESS OF HILARY SWANK. SHE IS A GREAT ACTRESS FOR A MORE MEATY ROLE NOT SOMETHING LIKE THIS. HE IS JUST WONDERFUL TO LOOK AT...LOVE THE ACCENT....
Certainly gets you involved. July 28, 2008 "No Country for Old Men" was cheerful by comparison. Never watch "P.S. I Love You" unless you plan on feeling like you've just bottomed out. If you're okay with that sort of feeling, if you like a good tear jerker, then you'll probably love it.
I gave it four stars because it really was a good movie, but I wouldn't watch it again unless I was looking to come down from an insane happy-high.
