I bought this frame to use at work, but soon discovered the fluorescent lights in my office were just too bright for the frame, even though I increased the brightness all the way up. It also is just too small to appreciate at any distance over an arm's length away.
The frame works as advertised, but it just wasn't right for me.

I love my new digital picture frame! It is nice to have my most recent pictures runnning when others come into my kitchen...much better for communicating than the TV :) It is easy for me to load my pictures on to it from my computer. It was a wonderful BD gift from my husband.

Product defective. May just be this particular frame but the Owners' Manual & on-line help sites were worthless. Bought this frame because it was top 3 by Consumer Reports, it may be if you can figure out how to make it work.

My daughter-in-law bought this model and asked me to help her set it up. I am an advanced computer user and digital photographer. Pros: Nice looking frame Cons: Insertion of the SD card from her camera was easy and the pictures started to display. The quality was adequate, but not stunning. However, there is very little control on how long the image is on the screen. In slideshow mode, the pictures change every few seconds. You can pause the picture and keep it on the screen, but then must change the photo. It's nice when you can vary the display time (like on my Kodak model). Also, there are no transition choices. Secondly (and this is the main reason I am returning it), some of the pictures are rotated 90 deg. Now you can manually turn them to the correct viewing angle, but the next time they appear in the slideshow, they revert back to the un-rotated position. Not good. So I downloaded the Optipix software from the website. The website itself is terrible, probably thrown together by some novice programmer. The support section is minimal. When I chose pictures to include on the frame, it takes a copy of the original and puts it into a folder, which is nice. You have no options to sharpen the photo as advertised. Several times, when I chose a few photos, rotated them properly, and then tried to 'add them to the frame', I got an error message about a bad index, and had to re-boot the program. At this point I realized my daughter-in-law would become very frustrated trying to add hundreds of images of her new baby. We are returning this frame and will be shopping for another one that will hopefully be easier to use, and have a more user-friendly interface. $90 is not a lot for a digital frame, but for the money, I think the consumer deserves more. Stay away from this model!
