Boring, hes not home alone and oh yeah, boring! November 18, 2008 This most be one of the most boring films I have ever seen, the only reason I watched it was because I was that bored and there was nout on tv at all. The acting is very pathetic, even though its a kids film it is very pathetic. Its also over exaggerate with the stunts such as the water falling down the stairs and the self opening doors with voice activities. Technology hasn't gone as far as that yet. You can see the steadicam mans reflection in two shots, the shot in the kitchen where kevin goes to the frigde and opens it and then when kevin locks the butler in the freezer, you can see a dark reflection of the cameraman walking closer to the freezer, very unprofessional. And he is not home alone, theres 2 people living there even though one of them is actually the leader of the crooks but still very boring film.
Why are a lot of people against this film? September 11, 2007 1 out of 3 found this review helpful
After I saw this film at the cinema, I actually enjoyed it. OK, it's not AS good as the first two, but at least it's still enjoyable. However, this is a million times better than the fourth, which I didn't enjoy very much.
Didn't laugh once October 31, 2006 2 out of 4 found this review helpful
Why did John Hughes do it? He should have stopped at 2. How he ever thought a Home Alone film would work without Culkin, Pesci and Stern i don't know. It just wasn't funny and he wasn't REALLY Home Alone. The whole point in the first two was he was completly alone and cut off from his family wheras here they were coming home each night. Only saw it once... never again i'm sticking to 1 and 2.
Original and Fun September 24, 2006 0 out of 2 found this review helpful
The third outing in the Home Alone franchise offers a completely new family, new child ("Alex") and a new scenario. It is surprisingly enjoyable family viewing. Here young Alex finds a computer chip and soon a gang of international criminals is on his trail - or is he on their trail ?. It is well put together and fun. We giggled all the way through, and our daughter loved it. If you have young children they will enjoy this. Look out for a young Scarlett Johanssen as Alex's sister.
Take it on it own merit December 22, 2005 1 out of 5 found this review helpful
Ok, it's years since I saw the original film, I don't think I ever saw version 2, so I watched this film with no particular expectations, but I have to say that I found it a really enjoyable ride. It's not, nor will ever be a life changing movie. It probably isn't as good as those that went before it, but that's not a reason to give it a bad review, I really think it still works as an enjoyable romp before christmas. Save the bad reviews for films like Forrest Gump - Now that was a stinker of a film!!
