The man who really is it. September 16, 2007 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Two live shows on one disc,'the man who thinks he's it' recorded live at The Palace Theatre in Manchester and 'live 'n' lewd' performed live at London's Lyceum theatre. All his favourite characters appear,Alan Partridge,Paul and Pauline Calf,Tony Ferrino,Ernest Moss and the irritating Duncan Thicket, plus glimpses of Steve backstage. This really is laugh a minute comedy with Paul 'i hate students' Calf and sister Pauline stealing the show during nearly three hours worth of material. Fans of Steve Coogan will love this and i am so glad i decided to add this to my collection,it was the best night out i've had in years.
Good for the collection....... October 10, 2004 7 out of 10 found this review helpful
I actually saw this live in Southend and it was really funny. Paul Calf was hilarious, in fact they were all alot funnier than I expected seeing as I really only like Alan Partridge.I found myself laughing out loud when I saw it, and brought the DVD as a remindeer - funny stuff. If you like COOGAN its good, if you dont then you probably wont like this DVD.
Steve Coogan is Hillarious!!!! October 4, 2004 1 out of 20 found this review helpful
Although not as well known as Dana Carvey or Sacha Baron Cohen (the guy who does Ali G, Borat, and Bruno) Steve Coogan stands out on his own as all of his characters are hysterical and his supporting cast is also excellent. Too bad he did not bring this show Stateside.

This was a Cougan classic, the phenomenon that is Cougan really blazes through in this, I think what he was trying to do with this, was project his alter-ego in an almost deformed way toward the audience, you can almost grope the passion.I dont' think I'm giving anything away by pointing out his titillating perfomance as the "Safety inspector" moved me on an emotional scale which can only be compared to "D'ante" in the East end play "D'ante Petunia"
An excellent unmissable DVD October 11, 2001 10 out of 12 found this review helpful
This is probably the best comedy to ever come out of Britain in the last 10 years, Coogan is exceptional - all his characters have something to offer, his talent in these shows rates him up with the best.If you fancy a night in then this DVD will keep you glued to your TV, do yourself a favour & buy this DVD if only to see what your missing
