Amazon.co.uk Review In ILittle Nicky/I, Adam Sandler plays the sweetest of three sons of Satan (Harvey Keitel), who's got to go to Earth and retrieve his nasty, power-hungry brothers lest they take over Hell and make it a thoroughly evil place. As with Sandler's other films, this weird premise (based oh-so-loosely on IKing Lear/I) is just an excuse to trot out a hodgepodge of comic bits and cameo performances. Admittedly, a lot of the jokes don't work (there was no need to repeat the one about shoving a pineapple up Hitler's ass) but the ones that do tend to be more memorable than the ones that don't, making for a pretty funny movie, when all is said and done. Sure, it's hard to overcome Sandler's speech impediment Idu jour/I, not to mention that romantic subplot with Patricia Arquette but it can be done by focusing on the brilliant cameos by Regis Philbin, Reese Witherspoon, Ozzy Osborne, and Henry Winkler (especially when he's covered with bees), as well as one of the funniest uses of a scene from De Palma's IScarface/I in years. Supporting Sandler throughout are two very funny heavy metal disciples and a bulldog named Beefy (voiced by Robert Smigel, the man behind ITriumph the Insult Comic Dog/I). And, in an almost unrecognisable cameo, that's Clint Howard as the cross-dressing fetishist named "Nipples".--IAndy Spletzer, Amazon.com/I

When your Dad won't hand over the family business..... August 26, 2008 ...this happens. Sort of.br /There isn't much of a plot, but when you see Satan's youngest kid doing some Guitar Hero stuff in his bedroom, you know it has to be plain funny.br /The repeat gag of Nicky getting killed by accident - generally his own mistakes - works very nicely, and even better when he accidentally lands in Heaven and discovers his air-head mum and her best mates, who are angels.br /Beefy could have been done a little better, and just looks like a cheap copy of Frank the Pug from Men in Black.br /Devilishly funny though, and loved the Ozzy cameo!
A Fantastic Comedy August 12, 2008 I watched the film Little Nicky on the TV and found it fantastically amusing. It is the sort of film you would want to watch over and over again, it really was that good.

I don't think i have ever seen such a terrible film, there is no intellience in this film the homour isnt even clever its dull and complety unamusing in fact I don't think it is for anyone except the very very dim. I have never been so bored I highly suggest not ever watching it.
I just don't get it... sorry! August 25, 2007 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
What an odd film! After I'd heard from friends about how good it was, I was surprised at just how dull the humour. Don't get me wrong - I love a laugh just as much as the average person, but this is what you might call Alternate Humour. I hardly think that Adam Sandler walking around a city, with an odd looking twist in his mouth and annoying voice, is funny. Its just plain embarrassing!
Very pleasing March 28, 2007 1 out of 3 found this review helpful
I love Adam Sandler and I consider this film to be on of best he's done! And my brother and sister who have very different senses of humors agree. For those who don't like this film you should see Adam Sandlers 8 crazy nights and that film is for all those who love wrapped adult cartoon.... one of the strangest films I've ever seen. Anyway I'm rambling......br /Little Nicky it highly amusing I love all the characters and its so!!! Funny that I could watch it over and over again and still laugh every time br /YAYbr /
