After his actress wife is killed in an on-stage accident, Chase Matthews and his young son Jeff move away to make a new start. Unknown to them, their new home is not far from the dreaded Indian burial ground where the dead walk. It isn't long before Jeff falls foul of local bullies, but soon his problems are put into perspective. When his friend's dog Zowie is shot, the boys' choice of burial site results in the animal returning as a glowing-eyed savage monster. This is a worthy sequal to a great film, captures excellently the style of its predecessor with no-holds-barred horror and images which really do disturb. The room with the twinkling lights and flapping white curtains is especially haunting. It has to be said that Clancy Brown dominates his every scene as a terrifying bullying Sheriff who returns from the dead as a psychopathic raving-mad zombie. After watching this I don't mind admitting I kept looking around expecting him to be standing there staring boggle-eyed at me. The exhumed school bully is a bit silly, but that doesn't stop this being a genuinely scary and thrilling film.
 A FAR BETTER SEQUEL TO A GOOD ORIGINAL November 2, 2007
When his estranged wife (Darlanne Fluegel) dies in a horrific accident, Chase Matthews (Anthony Edwards) moves him and his son Jeff (Edward Furlong) to a small town and becomes the town veterinarian. Jeff immediately becomes friends with Drew Gilbert, (Jason McGuire) and he fills Jeff in on a local legend about a haunted cemetery outside of town in the woods. Gus Gilbert, (Clancy Brown) the town sheriff, finds out about his stories and goes out to investigate, but gets killed. After knowing that the story is true, they put it to the test. When things spiral out of control, the two try to lie their way out of it, but eventually their lies catch up to them.br /br /The Good News: Compared to the first one, this film is a lot more violent. The deaths are pretty graphic, including having a face mangled by a running motorcycle wheel, a chink of th throat ripped out, an extremely graphic meltdown, and much more. It's pretty gory with a high body count, which was a far cry over the original. This isn't the amount of gore that happens as wounds incurred but which didn't kill the person. We also get wounds on the shoulder, scratches on the hard, gunshots, and most spectacularly, a power drill is used to open on the body. Gorehounds will not be disappointed with this one. The large amount of gore in the film allows for some ingenious special effects, and we get a fine display in here. The make-up work is really great and creative, which bumps the film up a little. Also, the storyline isn't all that bad to watch. The events are pretty excited to see 8unfurl, and the sporadic action sequences makes that all the more exciting. Once the film kicks into gear and gets going, it's pretty action-packed The Bad News: it's not like this is a bad film, but it's not an intelligent one. The film has basically a one-note plot that is basically there and not much else. It takes almost no real thought to understand the film. Also, the beginning of the film is extremely slow, and it has nothing to do for a long time into the film. The action is good, but it's got a while to go before it kicks in.br /br /The Final Verdict: It's not as bad as some say, but this is still a series that should've only had two films to them. There's worse ones out there, so it's up to you to decide. Exercise caution, though, as there are a lot of detractors against this one.

What can I say about Pet Sematary 2? It has everything that makes a good horror film. Atmosphere, gore, dark story and some really sick ideas. The music is brilliant especially the credit theme Poison Heart by The Ramones. It has creepy music especially when in the sematary and the characters have great acting. This blows the original away. The original was too depressing and very little happens in it. Its only the credit theme by The Ramones that brighten it up but the 2nd has a better ending track anyway. brThe gore varies from a glimpse of some mangled cats, rabbits getting gutted and a motorcycle tearing a thugs face apart. The gore is far stronger and extreme than the original. Even today this movie is still impressive and doesnt loose its feel over the years. Watch this brilliant and very under-rated horror movie when you can cause your missing a lot.
