This VHS has 4 episodes from the CITV series. The character voices include Robert Lindsay (My Family), Doon MacKichan (Smack the Pony), Tim McInnery (Blackadder) and Simon Callow (Chance in a Million). It follows the fortunes of Rabbit, his daughter Lucy and twin babies, their friend Terrapin and their neighbours Bear, Fox and the new arrivals from Canada, Wolf and his sons, Barry and Simon. The characters are well drawn and the animation which includes puppetry and CGI, is excellent. But where the series excells is in it's script, which will appeal to both young and old. It has the 'slapstick' comedy children will love but also has some great one liners. My six-year old son and I particularly liked the scene where Rabbit becomes concussed and developes a split personality where he belives he is Darth Vader from Star Wars one minute and Yoda the next. We also liked the bit where Fox, Wolf, Simon and Barry go line-dancing in an attempt at male-bonding. We just wish the distributors would release more episodes of this excellent series. Here's hoping!
