Fans of the US TV show, "The OC" will enjoy watching the early work of Peter Gallagher as he portrays a young man sharing a love triangle with Valerie Quennessen and Daryl Hannah. The subject of of his "performance" with the two women provides just the right touch of subtle humor to the situation. The growth of the relationship from three people sharing casual sex into three people bonding in a committed friendship is a highly satisfying resolution to a theme that usually ends in tragedy. The story is believable and the characters behave like real people I know in real life. Add in the beautiful setting on the Greek island of Santorini and this becomes one of my favorite films.

The story is set on a Greek island (insignificant which one), where three beautiful young people meet and develop a triangular love affair. Daryl Hannah is absolutely stunning in this 80's film. If you have ever been to the Mediteranian on holiday you will recognice the beautiful scenery captured in Summer Lovers. This film is best enjoyed on a cold, snowy winter's night. Escape into a story of summer, love and passion!
