IJosh Groban in Concert/I has all the ingredients to be a middle-of-the-road hit: a young, good-looking performer with a golden voice; songs in Italian and Spanish for the crossover crowd (think Andrea Bocelli and Sarah Brightman) and pop and movie songs for the mainstream crowd; guest stars galore (David Foster, John Williams, Angie Stone, Andrea Corr, Lili Haydn); a large orchestra; and striking but not obtrusive visual effects. The centrepiece of this DVD/CD combo is the 80-minute concert DVD, filmed in Pasadena, California, in October 2002 and featuring numerous songs from Groban's debut CD, including "You're Still You", which catapulted him into stardom when he sang it on IAlly McBeal/I. There are also two new songs--the ballad "Broken Vow" accompanied by Foster, and "For Always", with the orchestra conducted by John Williams, who wrote the song for the Steven Spielberg film IA.I./I p The 37-minute CD offers seven songs performed in the concert (including the two not on the previous CD, "Broken Vow" and "For Always"), plus "O Holy Night". The DVD has excellent picture and sound (PCM stereo, Dolby Digital 5.1, and DTS), interviews, and backstage footage and the combination with the CD is an excellent value. Listen to Josh singing "O Holy Night". I have listened to many versions of this song, but this is an absolutely spell-binding, spine-tingling experience. Worth buying the DVD as Josh is gorgeous to look at as well!

I do not normally get over excited over a voice, but this chap is different. Josh is not just good he is superb, with an open modesty that comes through his music honestly. The power of the voice, the lyrics being sung, the music, the setting make this concert a must and one that simply will not be viewed the once and put away - it will be a regular viewing to lift the heart and inspire the inner spirit.br /If you buy this and don't like it then you are either heartless or dead to life.

I recently purchased this item and I was so pleased with it! The lighting on stage is lovely, Josh is lovely, it was nice to see the footage of the show in the making; I love this DVD and I love that voice! The band and guest singers are all on top form, particularly Angie Stone with whom Josh does a beautiful duet of The Prayer. Fans, what are you waiting for? Buy it! You will NOT be disappointed, I promise.

A beautiful singer, and though so young sings with passion, as if he has experienced all he sings about. Not many can do that.brWe bought the DVD two or more weeks ago and have watched it every evening.brCan't wait for his DVD 'Live at the Greek' to become available here. I wish Josh good luck and know he will go far. Must also add how great David Forster is along with the the brilliant muscians. A great DVD and Concert.

josh groban, truly breathtaking, a voice that "raises you up" and don't put you down. not that you want to be.br anyone who listens to this will be amazed, and thrilled. this is truly a beautiful and inspiring compilation. you will love it, and josh too.lol. mine is rarely out of my player.br as for the songs, what can i say i love them all, but if i had to choose a few, above the others, which is a difficult, it would be "broken vow" "to where you are" i challenge you not to cry when listening to this, and the beautiful "you're still you". br no age limitations on this, you will love it too. brmember of fojg.
