 Everybody Do The Dinosaur May 17, 2007
This film without a doubt is one of my all time favourites, i was a fan of the video game, i remember staying over at my cousins when i was 4 and we would play the mario games for hours and when i heard they were makin a film i couldnt wait.br /br /i remember watching this film for the first time and immediatly loved it, the film doesnt keep in touch with the games all that much, but that in no way makes this a bad film, who cares if it doesnt keep to the games, films like that normally suck, may i remind people of resident evil or even mortal combat or recently doom.br /br /the actors in the main roles are pefectly cast, especially bob hoskins and dennis hopper, with great support from john leuizamo and samantha mathis, even iggy and spike bring temendous humour. the film is of a darker tone to the games, and more real situations, even if there are dinosaurs in it, thats one of the things that make it a good film, yes it is cheesy, yes there is a bit of over acting, but these are all good things that make it the film it is.br /br /this film is funny, exciting, emotional and overall a joy to watch, woth scenes such as the pipe slide on the goomba matress or the final hsowdown with mario and koopa, or even the dance with mario and big bertha (classic) make this an amazing film the onl bad thing about this film was the ending that i won't spoil incase you havnt seen it but yu just wish they would of made a sequel which they were planning but sadly the film wasnt that popular on release so was never made

As you probably read in all of the other reviews, alot of mario and nintendobr /fans think that this film is poor and ridiculous because the charactersbr /in no way resemble theyre 2d counterparts.br /br /Why is that a bad thing?, to translate the world from the game exactly into a br /medium such as cinema would have been impossible, and have required an amountbr /of CGI and hard to implement items (such as hitting boxes with your head)br /which could have not been integrated (or developed at the time) well intobr /a movie.br /br /In my opinion what the actual movie was like is much better than any thingbr /they could have done which exactly was true to the mario world.br /It is much more interesting because you can still see you're favourite charactersbr /and also experience how they would be existing in the real world and dealingbr /with real problems such as lack of plumbing jobs etc.br /br /Now onto the actual plot,br /Although its a little sillier than some people would like in places it br /is a really interesting and fun film, the mario and luigi team of "Bob hoskins"br /and "John Leguiziamo" provide a very good base for the film, as a wholebr /both of them play their parts well and create a fun and believeable brother team.br /br /Again the best part of this film has to be the fact that you see all of yourbr /favourite characters brought to life, and in a zany and fun way.br /Yoshi is a cute CGI/puppet that is basically like a loyal puppy, mario and br /luigi are a charismatic plumber duo, peach is a gun toting princess,and br /koopa is a sleazy businessman trying to subvert and accuire the mushroombr /kingdom.br /br /I sawthis film as a child for many of my younger years and I still enjoy br /it now, a must see for any mario fan and a muct see for your kids.

TRUST ME THIS A GOOD MOVIE RENT IT OUT AND BUY IT LATER IF YOU DONT BELEIVE ME..ITS FUNNY AND MAJESTIC I ENJOYED EVERY SECOND LOL AT BOB HOSKINS AND LUIGEAZAMO THEY MAKE A GOOD BUDDY BROTHER COUPLE ITS REALLY FUNNY IS WELL GO FOR IT

A good movie, obviously has nothing on the classic Nintendo game but in all a great movie starring the brilliant Dennis Hopper as the evil vilain King Koopa

This movie is around 11 years old now and I have to admit it isn't rubbish, it is good! Yeah it could of been better but whats wrong with this? Its a family movie, the acting isnt bad at all and it was a hit back then! 11 years later and I still enjoy this film!
