br /Oh what a web we weave...br /br /This is a complicated farce of affairs, infidelity and marriages that needs to be watched after a few drinks to make any sense, otherwise will come across as a non-sensical dream!.br /br /Dated sex and innuendo fun film with quick-witted dialogue that is fast-paced. It's great to see husband and wife Jack Hulbert and Dame Cicely Courtneidge appearing in their last film together and looking marvellous in their 80s!br /br /Also stars Joan Sims and Barbara Windsor. br /br /

The classic stage farce given a modest budget movie release, stars Leslie Phillips and Joan Sims, with cameo roles for many other great comic talents, like Bill Frazer and Graham Stark. This print, the 'pink cover' version, has a moderate quality picture, but is an unedited print, allowing the viewer to see the movie as intended. Julie Ege provides much of the glamour, in a role that involves lots of running in and out of doors, some good lines, and some moderate nudity. Further glamour is provided by Benny Hill girl Trudi Van Doorn, much under-rated, who like Ege finds her top falling off once or twice as events get out of hand. It's all good fun, for anyone who has enjoyed the Carry On movies, this is more of the same, but with a style all its own. The jokes are very British, it's all good fun, and the nudity mild. It's 95 minutes of fun. Beware altenative releases, which have many edits!
