Amazon.co.uk Review In IBoohbah Magic/I the five magical atom Boohbahs present some of their best episodes. As always, the Boohbahs begin the shows by moving around the world in their Boohball before settling on a particular group of children. The group then gets to wish into existence a present to send into Storyworld for their chosen Storypeople to play with. Before and after each story, the atoms get down to some funky dancing. As a premise it may be a bit boggling to the adult eye, but kids genuinely love it. Colourful and musical, each show is a brightly engaging 20 minutes. The shows in question are "Armchair", "Skipping Rope", "Record Player" and--a bonus episode on the DVD--"A Pile of Balls". It's pretty self-explanatory stuff. The other aspect that unifies each episode is the idea of encouraging imitation and interaction. Basic science and mathematics are encoded in the stories with the intention that the child will work out what will happen next. Even if it feels like a composite of several established successful shows, the important thing is that both the intent and the outcome are genuine. Kids love to watch and shout out "Boohbah!" --IPaul Tonks/I

The other day my son who is 11 months was watching the tv i went in the other room and i could here laughing from the other room so i went in the to see what he was laughing at and Boobah was on the TV he was laughing his head off. This programme is brilliant for babies and children and i am definally going to buy the DVD for him.
A breath of fresh air October 26, 2003 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
Whilst haplessly channel-hopping, one dreary afternoon in the not too distant past, I came across a magical world. And BANG! Like a huge ball of brightly-coloured, freaky-eyed fluff through the haze, I discovered Boohbah! This programme was designed (apparantly) using masses of genuine research carried out on kids up to 5 years old by asking them about colours, shapes and sounds, and so, it can be classed as a "scientific breakthrough". I would tend to believe this because every kid who's seen it thinks it's brilliant and it really does hold their attention. Same goes for the adults too. I think you should buy this DVD in order to properly judge for yourself whether this is just a programme designed to keep the makers in their regular supply of "60's sweeties" for the next few years, or just an innocent bit of fun. Either way, you'll be hooked!!! pP.S. Jumbah rules!!!!
Trippy fun that kids really love September 2, 2003 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Trip-hop music, bright colours, trails - you won't believe it's a children's show. The high-energy Boohbahs whiz and dance about to some pretty cool music, their routines sandwiching a visit to Storyworld. The Storypeople are brightly dressed, extremely friendly, and ever so slightly faster than a normal person. Their adventures are cute, highly repititious, and even educational. This show doesn't get good airplay, but I'm not sure why not considering what else is on TV for children. My 17-month old adores this and we know 3- and 4-year olds who can't help joining in the dances. The best part is, I don't mind sitting with my daughter and watching Grandpappa and Little Dog Fido fight over the armchair for the 47th time.

Boohbah is made for very small children and stoners. The bright colours are absolutly mad and spin you out so much. I always come home from collage and watch this crazy show because it the absolute best. I recomend you buy this and next time your smokin wack it on and get ready to be very confused.
Boohbah June 2, 2003 Boohbah is a great new programme for babies to young kids. pWe all enjoyed this DVD and it gets played all the time, shame there are not more episodes on DVD but well worth it to keep the little ones happy!!
