I love Tales from the crypt and this movie incorporates all we love about the series. Billy Zane is awesome and Jada Pinkett is hardcore back in the day here. Gory, Jumpy and funny and feature length this movie is great from start to finish.

All Hail the Cryptkeeper!pThis isn't at all scary but is a cracking, and very underrated movie. The gore is great (in a fantastic way) and there is some great humour.pThe story to the film is very good, I'm not giving it away though and it has a very strong cast, including William Sadler (Die Hard 2), Jada Pinkett-Smith and Billy Zane. It is Zane who steals the show here with his wonderfully charismatic villain.pGood film, seek it out.

The DVD version's not up to much, but it's worth getting for the film. I haven't the slightest clue why, but this film had the strangest effect on me. I still remember it all these years later (I first saw it when I was about 15), and the the story has a real spark of...not originality, but something. Without the Tales From The Crypt tag I bet this film would be thought much better of- it has a superb villain (whenever I see the Devil on film, I always compare him to Zane's character and performance in this, which is ridiculous, I know), a great supporting cast, and plenty of guts. Seriously- check it out.
