Del Shannon in concert, I never thought I would be able to watch a high quality production of his major hits but this is as good as it could possibly get.The backing singer has to be seen to be believed but with Del at the lead the whole concert bounces along quite merrily from hit to hit leading to a most enjoyable package. A must for any 60s rock n roll fans.

There simply aren't that many DVDs or videos of Del Shannon in concert, so - if you are a Del Shannon fan - this disc has to be for you. pIt's a 1989 club appearance - videotaped in Sydney, Australia. The backing group is obviously the resident band - well able to support any visiting performer. The female vocal support has to be seen to be believed - I won't describe her, buy the DVD and find out for yourself. pDel performs a dozen hits, plus "Black is Black" and "(Can't Get No) Satisfaction" (which is uncredited on the casing). Also, he mimes to his then-current release "Walkaway". pThe excitement builds through the concert, and ends on a high. It was an enjoyable evening out for the audience - who clapped sang along to everything.

This is a "must have" for all Del Shannon fans!brConcert footage of Del is Rare - this has been a long time coming to the U.K. brDon't expect a lavish production, this was filmed in '89 at a small night club in Australia. As with his "Live in England" album this is a "Raw" live performance - you will think you are in the audience!brNo chat - just good old rock. Del performs many of his own compositions, plus other songs he loved to sing. From his first hit "Runaway" to one of his last songs "Walkaway", Del gives it his all. A very much under-rated artist, Del kept a huge following in the U.K. which continues to this day. He may no longer be with us but this is a fitting tribute to a great artist, singer and song writer. Buy it!
