Amazon.co.uk Review Donald Duck's nephews learn why holidays come once a year, Goofy and son discover the spirit of Santa, and Mickey and Minnie re-enact a classic tale of giving in this holiday offering. Kelsey Grammer (TV's IFrasier/I) narrates as Donald hosts Christmas at his house, complete with an egg and pancake breakfast, a sledge for each duckling in the closet, and Daisy under the mistletoe. But the celebration gets old fast when the boys' wish for Christmas every day comes true. Next up, Goofy's son wonders whether there is a Santa after the villainous Pete tells him there's not and he catches Dad impersonating the portly gift-giver. Goofy demonstrates the spirit of giving by taking a meal and presents to less-fortunate neighbours and, many Goofy-style mishaps later, father and son have a surprise visitor. In the third story, the mouse lovebirds give an updated spin to O. Henry's "The Gift of the Magi", with Minnie having the heirloom watch with no chain and Mickey a harmonica with no case. This trio of Christmas stories adds up to an hour of heartfelt fun, capped off by the gang singing "Jingle Bells". Perfect holiday cheer for those aged 4 and over. I--Kimberly Heinrichs/I

Disappointing January 7, 2009 It was very disappointing and upsetting. It brought doubts to my son if father Christmas exists, which is very sad. Our son never doubted Santa before he watched this DVD, now he is not sure if Santa really exists. It is sad that this DVD spoiled a child's innocent belief about Santa. I would not recommend this to anyone.
I thought it was a compilation of old cartoons! November 23, 2008 It's nice DVD with 3 nice stories, but they are NEW!!! I was expecting the classic old cartoons, and was quite disappointed when I saw there were none in this DVD. br /If you are up to new exciting stories, this is a DVD for you, but if you are looking for the old classics, then look for something else!
A Lovely Christmas Disney Film December 24, 2007 Mickey's Once Upon A Christmas consists of 3 short films. br /The first is about Donald's Christmas, when his three nephews wish it was Christmas every day. their wish comes true, and at the ands of the story they realise what the true meaning of Christmas is about. br /The second is about Goofys Christmas. When Pete, their next door neighbour tells Goofy's son that Santa isnt real, he starts to think that there might not be a santa. this film is about Goofy trying to prove that there is a Santa for those who believe.br /The third is a film about Mickey and Minnie mouse. They both have very low paying jobs so they each sell a valuable possesion of theirs to buy each other a present. Mickey sells his harmonica and minnie sells her gold watch. they both realise that just being with each other on Christmas is the best present you can give.

My 3 year old currently loves this dvd (along with polar express and Twice upon a Christmas and Hi 5!)br /My Personal fav is twice upon a christmas but there is no difference in story or morals.... br /Buy it if your child loves micky mouse and co... br /If your adult you will enjoy it just as much (unless your scrooge! ;o))
A Wonderful Disney Christmas Film December 20, 2004 16 out of 16 found this review helpful
Mickey's Once upon a Christmas is a wonderful film based on what people get at Christmas. There are 3 wonderfully animated films. The animation is so good i wouldn't have been able to tell it was form 1999, if i hadn't known! There are 3 stories: the first one being about Donald, Huey,Dewie and Louie. This is my personal favourite, but it is just as good as the other two stories: A very Goofy Christmas: the tale of when Max and Goofy celebrate Christmas, form the main bulk of the film lasting about 23 mins. The final story is a Disney re-make of the Gift of the Magi, starring Mickey and Minnie Mouse.pAll the stories are wonderful to watch and are such great entertainment. It only deserved to be sequelled because of it's sheer brilliance. Though sadly my one complaint of the Mickey's Once Upon a Christmas DVD is there are no extras, though this does not affect my opinion and so for me Mickey's Once Upon a Christmas deserves a minimum of 4 stars. A great film, a wonderful watch and a perfect Christmas present(along with Mulan:Special Edition and Mickey's Twice upon a Christmas)
