Amazon.co.uk Review There are some good laughs to be found in IDaddy Day Care/I, especially if you're a pre-schooler with energy to burn. This romper-room comedy shamelessly exploits its high concept idea--dropping Eddie Murphy into a seething den of rugrats--but kids will have plenty of vicarious fun as Murphy and his fellow laid-off colleague (Jeff Garlin) battle unemployment by opening a day-care centre in Eddie's home. In partial IWitches/I mode, Anjelica Huston hams it up as a day-care competitor bent on closing Eddie down, while doofus extraordinaire Steve Zahn is recruited as a third partner in "Daddy Day Care", trying his best to entertain a pack of hyperactive kids who've stopped taking their Ritalin. Zahn makes a funny IStar Trek/I fan (even when the script contains bogus Trekkie trivia), and Murphy deserves credit for giving his all in a comedy that mostly squanders his talent. --IJeff Shannon/I

One for the kids and the adults who are still a child at heart May 20, 2008 I love this film, some may say it's stupid and childish, but if you don't take this too seriously and just sit back, relax and enjoy this wonderful film.br /br /There's a fair amount of childish humour, kicking people in various parts of the anatomy, children running riot over 2/3 adult males who've lost their jobs or quit and dealing with the competition, plus the dreaded inspector.br /br /There are some great performances from the kids (especially Max Burkholder) who plays Eddie Murphys son, as for Eddie Murphy he puts in a more serious comedic performance than we may be used to, (more like his performance in Life), plus good solid turns by Steve Zahn, Anjelica Huston and Jeff Garlin.br /br /I think most people will take something from this film which does make some good points about the world we live in today too, it's just a delightful comic romp, enjoy!!
Some laughs, decent film October 29, 2007 Daddy Day Care is entertaining and funny, more so than many other children's films. The cast is good - Eddie Murphy is his usual funny self, Jeff Garlin (who I am a fan of because of his part in Curb Your Enthusiasm) is funny with the kids and Steve Zahn and Anjelica Huston both act well in it. The kids are a funny bunch, for example Flash who is never seen without his outfit on. As an adult, it is probably not a film you would go out and see with no kids but young children and older children will enjoy it and you should find it funny enough to enjoy watching it with them.
Glad i bought this! March 20, 2007 3 out of 3 found this review helpful

A fun, family film June 27, 2006 I first watched this film with unsure expectations. Since purchasing it I have watched it several times and enjoy it very much each time. It is a fun, funny film that all the family can enjoy. At the cheap price it is well worth buying to add to your collection.
