Those who think this movie Is less interesting than a piece of cheese have obviously not read the book and love watching cheese for hourse on end. Also It is nothing like spy kids and has excellent acting. it is definatly the best thriller film Ive ever seen!!!!!!!!!!!

i have to say this, this film was good, at any point im not saying its crap.brthe film was a bit unblievable, a family who are secret agents lol, yer right.brthe film was quiet scary, and when you figure it all out, you do think that it was a good film, and it is.brso my over all thought is that you should watch it cause it is good and you will jump in some parts.

2 out of 5 stars Disappointing   May 23, 2004

Having seen the trailer I expected this film to be based around the supernatural and voodoo. I think the film would have been more interesting if it was. The story line on Able and his "goth followers" would have been much better than a Spy-kid family and killer spiders. pThe start of the film seems promising, with interesting camera and editing techniques on the hallucinations of the teenagers. This being good until you are introduced to the very unrealistic family of Spys. The only thing that kept me watching this film was Ian, played by Jake Richardson, who I have to say was very nice on the eye. pAlso a main criticism is the issue of Ian and his girlfriend being "goth" at the start of the film when they are unhappy. As soon as everything's ok with their world again they change the way they dress and start dressing trendy. This shows a bad stereotype of goths only being goths because they are depressed.pPersonally I don't think I'll be watching the film again and I really wouldn't bother buying it.

5 out of 5 stars Great nail biting film   May 1, 2004

This film was a combination of a good storyline and brilliant acting. I am a great fan of Frank Peretti books and have read the book of the film. The film is slightly different from the book, but it still didn't alter the nail biting tension for me.pI recommend this for people to watch a it shows that even if you are different it doesn't matter and barriers between people can be overcome.

1 out of 5 stars Not even worth one star   March 22, 2004

This movie sounded good when I read the back of the cover. It turned out to be a complete joke. The family (typical mum, dad, teenage boy and girl and dog) are supposed FBI trained private investigators (including the kids). It is just so far-fetched and ridiculous. It's a kind of Spy-Kids meets the National Lampoons. brThe story doesn't even flow nicely. I was more than half way through the film and I still didn't know what the hell was going on. The acting was also on poor side.pYou'd get a nicer story and a see a lot more horror if you sat and stared at a peice of cheese for two hours. Not even worth the rental price.
