In this box you get 4 full length Chevy Chase films;br /Vacation is an excellent film where the Griswolds are driving across the country to a theme park. There are many laughs along the way, from car crashes, dog deaths, family deaths, theiving and holding John Candy at Gun Point.br /European Vacation is probably the weakest film in the series, and isn't as funny, but it does feature the Griswolds traveling across, Britain where they get into trouble at the BB and at Stone Henge, France where they visit the Efle Tower, and Germany where Clark gets into a fight. Theres also an appearnce by Eric Idle in this film too.br /Christmas Vaction is most likely the best, and is full of laughs from start to end. It's simply Hilarious!br /Vegas Vacation has a different feel to it, but thats due to it been the most modern, it has it's moments and is worth a watch.br /For 4 classic films this is certainly worth it.

These are classic films, with Chevy Chase at his comedy best.br /br /Any father can sympathise with some of the mishaps that befall (Clark) as he takes his family on holiday and later attempts the family Xmas in Christmas Vacation.br /br /These are HILARIOUS films and very highly recommended.

Chevy Chase still keeps us laughing in this wonderful boxset of his 'Lampoon' vacation family films, in which he plays the character of Clark Griswold, family of 2 children and a wife, and each film is based a different holiday, from the troubles at home during the christmas season, to touring europe after winning a gameshow. Their are laughs all round, but I still feel the 4th installment, Vegas Vacation, falls terribly short of the previous 3. Chase looks alot older, and the directing is a very much different style to the previous 3, in that with the musical score and silly characters, it feels like more of a mature family film rather than what made the previous 3 so special - immature and adventerous. This 4th installment is pretty predictable along those lines.br /But avoiding this, its still worthy of buying, as each DVD seperately still retails around 10 or just under, this definately worth buying to re-live those laughs for many more times round.

Chevy chase has to one of the funniest actors in many a long year. He found his niche with the Lampoons movies and here they are collected in one set. For me the first two are the best and are still funny after watching them many times. Chevy is brilliant as Clark Griswold with his ever suffering wife and kids. The american vacation has clark win a holiday to the aptly named 'Walley world' theme park in the west of the country. He is forced to bring the mother-in-law who dies on the trip , so he straps her to the roof of the station wagon. They all go to sleep in the car on the trip and it crashes off the highway into a ditch. They finally reach the theme park only to find it closed and cLark is so angry he forces it to open up. The last two films struggle for laughs but this is still a good set to watch again and again. Of the Dvd's there are no extras at all which is a missed chance and a pity. Thus only the four star rating on the strength of the movies alone.

Finally at last you have all the National Lampoon movies in one box. Great set of movies National Lampoons Vacation sets the Griswold family across country for a little fun at one of Americans favourite theme parks Wally World. European Vacation takes the whole family across Europe, Christmas Vacation Clark Griswold just wants the best family christmas and finally Vegas Vacation that takes the whole family once again on a fun pack adventure to Las Vegas. pAll these movies are classics and each one adorable that they managed to keep you there till the end. Also oddly enough they used different kids through out the characters of Russ and Audlrey. pGreat set of movies that no collector should live without.
