I bought this for my 3 and a half year old boy. I thought it would be a really nice film for him to watch the last few day before Christmas. Unfortunately I find it completely unsuitable for a 3 year old. Christmas is a happy and joyful time, the last thing I want is to spoil that for a 3 year old. I will be returning this item as I am very disspointed with it. The constant use of the word "bloomin" is definately not exceptable language for a small child and showing him such a grumpy Santa would just shatter his expectations of what Christmas is about. The snowman story is lovely, but as it is on the same disc it is of no use to us. Don't buy it!
 Christmas wouldn't be Christmas without the Snowman! December 9, 2008
There was a time when the Snowman was shown on TV every year, but it seems to appear less and less nowadays, so what a relief to be able to own it on DVD - and at such a bargain price!br /br /This animated short needs no introduction really - its such a lovely film, and really gets you in the christmas spirit.br /br /My two year old loves it, and asks to be picked up so he can fly around the room - everytime its on!br /br /This version comes bundled with Father Christmas. Whilst very different to the Snowman - we see Father Christmas smoking, binge drinking, gambling, and having a merry old time (all done in a family friendly way of course!) - its still very funny. I just hope my son doesn't pick up too much of his language though - its all bloomin' this and bloomin that!

This is the worst film bought in a long time. There is nothing I can think of doing with it. Wish I never bought it.

This is a Christmas classic DVD - no christmas household should be without it - adults and children simply deserve to have this from the beginning of December. br /I grew up with these stories and now my children are too - it's a fantastic feeling to pass on something so precious!br /

I remember watching this when I was little one christmas eve and I loved it(my mum instantly went out and bought the books for me which are equally as good!). I am now 20 and I still get that warm fuzzy feeling like when I first watched it. Great to put on the tv in the background whilst you are writing out christmas cards and wrapping up gifts or just to watch with the family in the lead up to christmas. It really gets you feeling festive! br /br /If you are not familiar with these programmes I can give a brief outline of both, THE SNOWMAN takes you along a beautiful journey of a young boys friendship with a friendly snowman and FATHER CHRISTMAS shows you what the man himself gets up to during the rest of the year.br /br /They don't make tv like this anymore, add this to your collection so you can watch it and then your children can watch it, then your children's children and so on!
