 a bit cringey January 4, 2009
Although I just love light entertainment for TV (I can't concentrate on anything too intellectually challenging), this is just a bit too twee. I find the character of Lorelei to be cringey beyond belief. Having said that, if I try to overlook that I enjoy the storylines and the light humour.
Seriously under-rated, perfect and favourite tv series January 4, 2009
Gilmore Girls is without a doubt the best teen/family drama around. It's funny, sad, full of drama and very thought provoking. Throughout the entire 7 series run the tone of the show, the characters and the storylines are consistant. From the pilot episode in Season 1 both Lorelai and Rory are as relatable, warm, charming and funny as they are in the series finale 7 years later. br / br /I've seen and loved everything from the OC, One Tree Hill, Gossip Girl, Supernatural, Veronica Mars and even Greys Anatomy but this summer when I stumbled across Gilmore Girls I found the winner. br /br /A truly amazing, heartwarming, hysterical series. br /br /

Visit the quirky and cozy dreamworld town of Stars Hollow and you'll feel right at home. I haven't enjoyed a show with such quirky characters since Northern Exposure. The language is fast, funny, intelligent and dizzy but it works. It should have been alot more popular over here and probably would have if it aired in the evening but it feels right it airs during the day for some reason.

Sarcastic, witty, charming, fun-loving and courageous! The Gilmore Girls is the most comfortable programme to watch that makes you laugh, cry, feel awkward and enjoy. The storylines are unexpected, exciting and are definitely worth watching again and again! It definitely takes someone with good wit to enjoy because most of the great pleasures of watching it are gained from the language and humour of the charcters. It is by far the best programme I ever watched and it has me totally hooked!! I hope the rest of you enjoy!br /If anyone still isn't sure of whether this is for them, here's a list of my favourite programmes in case I do in fact have the same taste as others who wish to watch this:br /1. Surpisingly Addictive! July 29, 2008
I accidently got hooked on The Gilmore Girls when my aunt came over for a holiday, went shopping and came back with Seasons 1-3. I watched 2 episodes with her and that was that. Lorelai 32 (Lauren Graham)and Rory 16 (Alexis Bledel) have the perfect mother-daughter relationship. Lorelai who brought Rory up as a single parent has a fantastic daughter. Lorelai is witty, funny and stubborn, all traits inherited by Rory. Rory is an excellent student and dreams of going to Harvard and being a journalist at the CNN. The whole town, Stars Hollow, is filled with admiringly unique characters, from Luke and his much-loved diner to Michel, the annoyingly funny french man who works with Lorelai at the Independence Inn. The Gilmore Girls will make you laugh, it may even make you cry. It's packed with must-see material!!! You'll regret not watching it sooner!
