4 out of 5 stars surprisingly good!   October 28, 2008
I was honestly not expecting much from this film. The storyline looked pretty depressing but I still felt like I was missing something so I decided to watch it. How happy was I when I'd finished watching it! It was a great and heartwarming film with good performances from the cast and a comic stance which I loved! I'd really recommend this film to anyone who wants to see someone enjoy the time they have on earth as much as they can.

4 out of 5 stars If you only had short time to live, what would you do?   May 14, 2008
This is an excellent film, it's not an out and out comedy, but there's plenty to laugh and smile at in this truly uplifting film.

Queen Latifah is on top form in one of her very best performances to date, Timothy Hutton, LL Cool J and the wonderful Gerard Depardieu also play their parts very well too.

Georgia Byrd (Queen Latifah) is given some bad news, she tries to talk this over with her boss at work, but he's too wrapped up in himself to listen to her problem so she decides to quit and do the things in life that she's always wanted to do, but never gotten around to doing.

There's a love interest, but as she has not told a soul about her condition, nor told anyone where she has gone, how is anyone going to track her down to inform her of various bits of news?

Sit down relax and enjoy a wonderful 90 minutes of fun, life and laughs, you may even realise a few things about your life too!!

5 out of 5 stars I LOVE THIS FILM   April 15, 2008
I love this movie.

It's one of the most heart-warming, endearing and hope-filled films I've ever seen.

Sure it's simple, it's not deep, it's not Shakespeare or Goddard or Werner Herzog.

It isn't trying to be.

It's just a really simple, sweet, feel-good film with a simple, sweet, feel-good story.

If you want to laugh more, love more, live more and not be so afraid, try this movie.

5 out of 5 stars Great fun   February 10, 2008
I was in a dilemma about something - watched this film - and you realise life is too short. It's not heavy going but the message is lovely. Watch it!
