Huzzah for the A Series! (Even if I'm a little late...) October 14, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
As one of those outside the UK, I too caught QI on a visit there. I recall thinking "This is brilliant! Why don't we have this in Australia?!" Jet lag be damned, I stayed up to watch it each and every time it was on and was never disappointed. Thankfully, I'm slowly catching up on the series and reliving the hilarity. Thank goodness for the humour of Stephen Fry, and the affability of Alan Davies. The guests all make for interesting viewing, even if at times I don't always know who they are! (although there are familiar faces thanks to a good deal of visiting comedians and UK shows here). QI is at last a game show that informs whilst retaining a sense of humour without the slightest trace of condescension. A must for all those who seek knowledge, myth busting and laughter. And don't forget the Elf banter...!

QI is a class act in every way, shape and form. It continues to be as entertaining as it is informative and damned worth a watch whoever you are and whatever your interests might be. Because the questions on QI are so absurdly difficult, contestants are awarded points for being interesting and sharing their knowledge. Boring, incorrect and obvious answers (usually things most of us were incorrectly taught in school, or have been proved differently since) are highlighted, and the record put straight.
You can't go wrong with QI.
Funny and instructive. Brilliant June 25, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I Love QI with it's funny answers, buzzers sounds and the excillent Steven Fry. this show shows us the actual amount of myths that are accepted as fact by people. I would reccommend this series to any one it provided me with a laugh or twenty and it can do the same to you.

I love this show!!! Enough has been said. But seriously, who would have thought that a show with a title like that would actually live up to its name??
Seriously, I find it very funny & also very interesting. And also you might learn something.
A is for absolutely superb! January 3, 2008 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
When you sit in the company toilets and weep at how rubbish your life is (I could have been Prime Minister, my boss is an idiot etc.), it's nice to relax into your armchair of an evening with the comfort of knowing that you are a smart *rse who actually knows everything.
Well, buy this DVD and you'll realise how much of the stuff you think you know is nothing more than oft repeated drivel.
Buy this DVD. Memorise it. And show the world - and the boss - that you really do know everything. Everything beginning with the letter 'A', anyway.
And make sure you buy all the 'Have I Got News For You' DVDs as well.
That's it. Your life improved overnight.
It's okay, you don't need to thank me.
