I might fall from a tall building... July 17, 2007

..but the Fall Guy stands the test of time.br /Back in the days before DVD extras opened up behind the scenes of movie making, before producers even realised people would be interested, the Fall Guy gave us a glimpse. There was also a surge in interest in stunt-men at the time and add in the fact that Colt Seavers is a bounty hunter when between stunt gigs and it was a formulation guaranteed to yield instant success.br /The acting is a little wooden at times, but then this was the 80s and the show itself had that over-the-top feel where even the most serious of situations and stories were just a little comical.br /The picture transfer is one of the best I've seen for a 25 year old print and the sound is impeccable. The only minor annoyance is the fractionally longer than needed black screen gaps where the advert breaks obviously used to reside.br /Whilst the DVD set isn't exactly over-loaded with special features what is there is entertaining and it's nice to hear the whole theme tune for a change.br /Another thing that gives the show's age away is the it's attitude towards guns. Much like most of the shows of the time, guns feature prominently; so I can see parents of today being a little reluctant to introduce their kids to the series, however I think they would be missing out. The box set is excellent and I recommend it to everyone.br /Right now I'm off to the shops to get some cardboard boxes so I can leap off my garage roof on to them, much like I did when I was 8 and having just watched the show.
