Thank goodness for Sandra Bullock August 30, 2008

If the director, Mr. Yapo, has a thing for Miss Bullock, then this film certainly makes it pretty obvious. I, too, like her a lot which is why, despite the poor reviews, I wanted to watch it. She didn't disappoint but the film itself was a terror!br /br /The move between reality and her 'premonitions' was just too confusing for me. I became annoyed when what I thought was current, turned out to be another day in her dream.br /br /And frankly, at the end, if a car saleman ever drove a car like her husband did, then no wonder she thought he was going to die.br /br /All-in-all, a load of old rubbish - except for Sandra, of course.br /br /

I was hoping for a throught-provoking, deep, psychologicial thriller but what I got was a weak and poorly constructed film. A decent premise but was let down by a lack of suspense and no great insight into why these events were actually occurring. The acting was ok and as a couple Sandra Bullock and Julian McMahon were believable. It was a bit of a 'nothing' film for me, not particularly chilling, deep, disturbing or entertaining. Although I was quite interested in the outcome, it turned out to be highly predictable and cheesy. A pretty average film, and I don't agree with other reviewers saying this film requires the viewer to engage their brains! It's a pretty bog-standard Hollywood film that doesn't tax the brain at all!

After a few plays over the same events it is time to get a drink what ever if you miss anything who is worried. It will be on again very soon and it had a very weak end you had already worked out ages before. Shame but not for me.

This film really left an impact. Despite several plot holes that aren't resolved by the end of the film, PREMONITION is a definite film that will have you on the edge of your seats - as I myself was at certain points. The clever usage of time travel is very subtly but effectively used to present both a thriller and a tragedy - and how fate is uncontrollable.br /br /A definite must see!
