Great Sitcom! October 18, 2008 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
After You've Gone is a hilarious sitcom by the same writer as My Family. Great cast includes Nicholas Lyndhurst, Celia Imrie, Dani Harmer and Ryan Sampson and gets better and better each week!br /br /Would strongly reccomend!
Amazing! March 29, 2008 2 out of 5 found this review helpful
Whoever has said that this comedy is boring or over-acted doesn't know what they're talking about! This comedy is easy to watch and you can easily get to like or dislike some characters. Nicholas Lyndhurst is still on top form and clearly hasn't lost his spark. Celia Imre is hilarious as the over the top grandma we all get embarrassed by. Dani Harmer has come such a long way since Tracey Beaker and is turning into a fine young actress. Ryan Sampson as Alex is just magic! The way he portrays the character is just right. A lad who doesn't want to grow up and is quite happy staying as a young boy, but who shows a sensitive side and a deep connection with his dad, Jimmy Venebles in an episode in series one. I would recommend this undoubtedly to anyone! A classic British comedy which can be enjoyed by all the family! A must have in your DVD collection.
Real title of DVD: "IQ Test" October 13, 2007 4 out of 13 found this review helpful
This comedy has it all. The 'wisecracking' son; the over-acting mother in law; the canned laughter to save the fact that there are no jokes; the painfully predictable 'punchlines' to the various farcical situations that the characters find themselves in. Imagine "When the Whistle Blows" from Extras... but this comedy is actually REAL. It's so bad that I actually wonder if it's some sort of test by the BBC to measure just how stupid people are.
Great!!!! October 2, 2007 4 out of 8 found this review helpful

bbc comedy back to its best September 29, 2007 8 out of 12 found this review helpful
ignore the bad reviews, this is one of the best bbc sitcoms in quite some time and now that my family has ended its the only decent sitcom still running. The best thing about it is the great use of scarcasm by Lindhurst.br /br /All the people who have given it bad reviews need to start looking at Lindhurst as Lindhurst not Rodney, then I'm sure you would find it much more enjoyable.
