 Good film ... mediocre offering ... poor value for money December 7, 2008
The packaging misrepresents the screen ratio as 2.35:1 it isn't. It is 1.78:1br /br /On my 50" plasma, the picture is grainy, but the colours are vibrant and the image is appreciably sharper that the upscaled "Special Edition" DVDbr /br /The sound offers no improvement.br /br /There are no extras whatsoever. These could have been ported at no extra cost in standard definition.br /br /A good film, but this offering does not warrant the cost, especially if you already have the DVD; it represents poor value for money.br /br /
 Audio track in Castilian Spanish too December 6, 2008
Just to inform, this Blu Ray has too the audio track in SPANISH. And you can see too all the extras with subtitles in spanish.br /br /This film is fantastic.

The movie itself needs no introduction or review.br /br /Blu ray version versus dvd. Great improvent in picture clarity, much better than upscaled Dvd but not full HD. Colour is magnificant.br /Sound is pretty good too.br /Menus are pretty arbituary and the lack of bonus content is dissapointing.br /A Blu-ray essential if you are a fan of the movie
Best version available - It's a port of the HD DVD transfer August 11, 2008

I see this product has one review by a sadly misguided soul who thinks this is a bad grainy transfer. First of all, this is the same transfer as the excellent HD DVD version, also the pitch problem has been fixed too. I had owned the US artisan release on Blu-ray prior to this and this is a big improvement on that transfer. The disc is coded region A,B. The sound is 5.1 DTS HD master audio. Due to the lack of any extras it misses the final star for my review. However, in terms of image and sound quality, This is the best version available of this cracking film.
