STILL AS GOOD - MISSION IMPOSSIBLE SEASON 5 November 22, 2008

Season 5 opens with the classic episode "the killer" in which the team try to stay one step above a very unpredictable killer .There are 23 episodes on 6 discs . There are many great episodes in this set like "the field " ,"my friend ,my enemy " ,"decoy","flip side","the innocent","the amateur","the catafalque","squeeze play" ,"the party" ,br /"cats paw" etc .Some are ok like "the rebel" ,"a ghost story",but that is forgiven because many of the episodes are good . This season has a different feel to it and many or half of stories are set in the United States of America.This season also has brief teaser scenes before the music [ for most the music is a hipper version of the main theme ]and the dossier scenes don't appear again . There are many risks this year not only with the stories like being captured,brainwashed ,injured,shot and dealing with smart enemies but also with the cast . The charactor Willy [Peter Lupus]is only in half of this Season and a young Dr Doug Roberts is used ,played by Sam Elliott [he is only in this season and the first episode of season 6].There is a new young leading lady Dana Lambert played by Lesley Ann Warren ,she is good but she is a bit too young for some of the stories [she is only in this season] .The ever great Leonard Nimoy [in his last season in mission impossible] is still good , but sometimes he was not used as often as he should have in some of the stories .But overal a great season . Can't wait for season 6 and 7 .
