5 out of 5 stars Michael Jackson is so cool.....I love him   November 24, 2004

This is FAB! I love MJ at the best of times, but he really surpassed himself with the Thriller album and video. "The Making of Thriller" is a great way to see Michael in his former glory, before the baby-dangling, the surgery and the funfair. He's so cute too!

5 out of 5 stars A Thrill To Watch!   October 1, 2003

This video is awesome, gives a detailed look into the making of one of the most famous music videos ever, 'Thriller.' Including dance rehearsals, interviews, doing the make-up for Mike (which took hours!) etc. I'm a huge MJ fan myself, and have collected a whole heap of his stuff, so most of this video I have seen before - but if you're a new fan, or a casual viewer, it's great to watch what goes on behind the makings of music videos and what goes into it. But even if you are an MJ collector, grab this just to complete the collection. Apparently, they're rather hard to find, so make sure you get a copy!

4 out of 5 stars very entertaining and informative for fans and non fans   April 24, 2003

I suppose most of the people who are reading this review have seen thriller or another of michael jacksons spectacular music videos. If you havent, this video includes the music video itself and then 45 minutes of how the film was made and how the special effects were achieved. Michael Jackson is the king of music video. This is possibly one of his most famous videos and songs from the best selling album of all time (40 000 000 copies sold worldwide) Featuring a lot of special effects and costumes. We see Michael dressed up as a few scary creatures as the video takes through a story of Michael and his girlfriend walking home after seeing a horror film.... This is definatly the highlight of the video as you can watch it over and over. if you are into documentaries i suppose you could wtch that over and over but the highlight is definatly the main event. The music video beat it is also featured on the video. I would recommend this to any fan of Michael, music video, horror fims or just music

5 out of 5 stars the making of michael jackson's thriller   March 26, 2003

This video is probably the greatest home video ever made. It is a little corny at times, but all in all a great piece of work by the master himself, Michael Jackson. Not only does it contain the music video for the song Thriller, it contains the making of it, as mentioned in the title. It has some great interviews with the key staff, and you really get a feel of the vast amount of work and money put into the production of the tape. There are also clips from some of Michael Jackson's other song videos, including Beat It, plus his legendary performance at Motown 25, where Billie Jean and the infamous Moonwalk were released to the world.
Even if you do not like Michael Jackson, this video is entertaining, and by not watching it you will be missing the greatest thing on Earth! It is a gem.
