Good budget buy, some nice touches. November 30, 2008 I was looking for a digital frame as a present for my Dad, who finds it very easy to dislike things, especially if he finds them difficult to operate. I decided on this one as it was a known manufacturer, good price and had a remote control. I was a bit sceptical about the picture quality and ease of use, having seen a few less than impressive budget models in the shops. However, on receiving this - amazingly quickly - I was relieved. Nicely made, good picture quality for the family snaps it will be used for, intuitive operation and simple instruction manual. One of the good features not mentioned in other reviews is that to rotate, zoom etc you can either use the remote or press any of the buttons on the back which brings up icons on the screen. You then press the button next to the icon to perform the function, which means you don't keep having to turn the frame over to see what the buttons do, or navigate incomprehensible on-screen menus as in some models I'd tried. Also you can switch it off completely rather than leaving it on standby. All in all really pleased with this frame, hope my dad is too!
Shockingly awful image quality! September 15, 2008 4 out of 5 found this review helpful
I bought one of these to give as a wedding present with pictures from the wedding day - however the picture quality is absolutely terrible! The resolution is so low that images look absolutely terrible. I've resized my images to the correct resolution for the display to try to extract as much detail as possible - but a total waste of time. I really wouldn't recommend this to anyone! I'll be returning mine and buying something similar with a higher resolution display!
Good value frame August 15, 2008 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
I was looking for a photo frame which would take both a sd and xd card. There aren't very many reasonably priced frames on the market which take xd cards, I had a shortlist of 3!I chose this make for the good reviews and price over others on the market. The resolution means that photos aren't very crisp close up, but really these frames are to be viewed at a distance. It is great to view pictures just taken and with the remote control friends and relatives can scroll through pictures. This is easy to use and an excellent buy.I would recommend it highly.
Nice Frame - Great picture and easy to use June 30, 2008 10 out of 10 found this review helpful
There are a lot of frames to choose from out there so I took a while to make my choice and I haven't been dissapointed. I went for Agfafoto as I remember Agfa cameras being high quality, straight forward products and this frame lives up to my expectations. I really like the remote control as it is very easy to use and all the buttons are duplicated on the back of the frame, so its not a disaster if I lose the remote! The picture quality is good and the screen can handle 16:9 images as well as 3:4. There were 3 surrounds in the box which fit on the front of the frame magnetically - really neat! I like the black one best but the white and brushed aluminium are good too.
Awful Viewing Angle June 20, 2008 4 out of 6 found this review helpful
I bought this product from elsewhere. It has an awful veiwing angle which makes the product unworkable. I loaded some pictures on it and stood it on a shelf in the lounge to admire my work. The pictures look fine as long as you stand directly in front of the frame with your eyeline level with it. But the minute you move off center the image is so dark it almost vanishes.
Conclusion The frame works nicely in the lounge, as long as you don't sit down or move!
Not Recommended.
