I am a complete Blackadder fan, now owning every series produced first on VHS and now on DVD. I can quite confidently say the DVD release of 'Blackadder Goes Forth' is superb. Excellent Quality of picture and sound and ease of use, allowing you to go direct to a particular episode very easily. The series itself is of the same unbelieveably high standard, if not better, than the preceding 3 series (with perhaps the slight exception of the first :) ). Rowan Atkinson and Tony Robinson both excel themselves once again to make an unforgettable 6 episodes! Well worth the money!

This is classic stuff,I never tire watching this series.Stephen Fry is brilliant throughout, although the whole cast are excellent.This is a must purchase and is up there alongside Fawlty Towers as the best British comedy series ever.Do yourself a favour and just buy this DVD, I can assure you, you will not be dissapointed.Classic stuff indeed!!

In my opinion the fourth series is the best. Offering fantastic gags, great writing and excellent performances from all those involved.

THIS IS THE BEST EVER BRITISH COMEDY WRIITEN.THE BEST EPISODE IS WHEN THEY ARE TRYING TO FIND THE GERMAN SPY AND THEY ASK THIS GUY IF HE HAD SEEN A GERMAN SPY AND HE SAID NINE (in german meens no)THIS IS EASILY THE BEST OF ALL THE BLACKADDERS. A MUST BUY FOR ANY FAN OF COMEDY OR IF YOUR A FAN OF HISTORY YOU WILL ALSO LOVE IT>BUY,BUY,BUY!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The best comedy ever written. Nothing will ever come close to topping this series. Ball-bouncingly funny all the way through; except for the end, when the writters reduce the viewer to tears through the emotional battle-field scene. BRILLIANT!
